But of course before there can be any domestic goddessness... there has to be rice cereal.
Now I was a little worried that he wouldn't like big kid food. I mean, he's still pretty little (age wise, not size wise) and maybe he wouldn't be interested in anything but milk.
Ha.
He attacked it with the fervor that only my son could show. I mean, this kid JUMPED on the spoon full of rice. He loved it so much that he even re-enacted a scene from when he was really really little - what we like to call "the baby bird". He will sit there with his mouth barely empty of rice cereal yet open for more... and he's VERY insistent about it. FEED ME WOMAN - MORE MORE MORE MORE...
Oookay kid. Jeez
So the best part of starting food for Mr. Drew was that we waited until Brian came home from his trip. So Brian got to serve our kid his first taste of big kid food. Way to go Dad! It wasn't even that messy... he kind of inhales everything on the spoon so that nothing really hits the bib.
Kind of scary.
Next on our plate - sweet potatoes... Let the domestic goddessness begin!
Hrm, now what is this stuff again?
Let me help you with that...
OMG, this stuff is good... GET IT TO MY MOUTH FASTER.
Seriously people... less pictures, MORE FOOD.
Savoring the moment...
Ugh, so full. *burp*

We made all of Wilt's food and the best investment we made in that endeavor was an immersion blender. If you don't have one already, get one. It's so much easier than mashing by hand or trying to use a regular blender. Good luck!
