Clickin Moms - How I Got into Manual - GIVEAWAY

If you've been around the blog for a little while, you've discovered that I really like to take pictures. If you've been around the blog for a long while, you've discovered that my pictures have gotten a LOT better in the past year. Like, leaps and bounds better. I've learned to use my camera, I've learned a little bit about composition, and as of this weekend, I've gone into full manual mode.

For any professional photographer, this is not an astounding event. It's something that they all do. But seeing as how I'm not a professional and I'm still learning, this is HUGE. Its kind of challenging and some of them suck and some are great but I'm doing pretty well so far... see below for an example. They don't totally suck! YAY me. I feel like I'm back in photography class in high school.

One of the things that I credit with my ability to go manual is Clickin Moms. Have you heard of them? Do you know them? Have you checked out their super amazing website?? Clickin Moms is a community of over 8000 professional and amateur photographers who want to network, hone their craft, showcase some killer pictures or learn, like me. Their forums are amazing and I've heard their classes are awesome (They must be since they are ALWAYS sold out). Running the gamut from getting past the basics of photography, to intermediate/advanced Photoshop, they really have it all. And because of them I found the courage to throw the switch into manual and there's no going back.

I still have a lot to learn, but I know that if I have questions, or want to take classes, they can totally help me. AND, because they are so super amazing, they have given me a year-long membership to share with YOU!
